There is Abundant Power in the Mouth, or Let's say in the Tongue. I have the Scripture to back it up! Here Jesus said: "But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned" (Mt.12:36-37).
Proverbs 18:21 again, it says that "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." And in 18:20, "A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled."
All evil comes forth from the heart and proceeds out of the mouth. " The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? (Jer 17:9). "...For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh" (Mat 12:34). "But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil and that is related with it.
There is an old proverb with a lot of wisdom. It says, "The tongue has the power of life and death, and whoever loves it will eat its fruit."
It is so true. What we say has the ability to create situations, emotions, and thoughts in others. A kind word helps people, negative words hurt - sometimes for a very long time (Chris Widener).
The Home i grew up in, There is a simple principle there. Only say things that will create in you positive emotions, thoughts, feelings, and ultimately, actions.
I remember a day where i said something so negative as a matter of fact, it was a curse, i received a positive feedback from my mum, she slapped the hell outta my face. Then I learnt never to use negative words on my loved once or myself anymore.
For example, calling your loved once, a fool, good for nothing, irresponsible, failure, wretched and so on, could actually create more damage than a physical damage because you just cursed them and you won't blame them if they start acting like the real words you used on them--- if i have to recall again, *i would say, calling your loved once, a fool, good for nothing, irresponsible, failure, wretched and so on*.
Your "word life" with others will make or break you in your own personal relationships with other people in this life. If you don't learn how to speak to other people in a positive and godly manner, then sooner or later no one will want to have anything to do with you, and you will eventually find yourself being totally isolated and alone.
The Mouth You used to pray to God, still using it to curse and speak negativity to your neighbours life, I can bet even if You don't commit any sin at all, even if you are the most holy person on earth, even if you are reverend father, pastor, deacon, minister of God, Imam, or let's just say a Good Believer, but you still don't get your words right, well I am so happy to tell you this " You have no place in the Kingdom of GOD" And I don't know how God will even answer our prayer in any manner, even if you fast for 40 days and 40 night.
Do the best you can to clean up your speech and the way you express yourselves to other people in this life.
This one verse is telling us that "death and life are in the power of the tongue." Just stop and think for a minute what the Lord is trying to convey to us with these specific words. There are two things to pick up from this verse.
The first thing that God is trying to tell all of us is that we have a certain amount of "power" in our tongues. Our tongue is referring to the verbal words that we speak out of our mouths to other people.
When God is using the word "power," He is telling us that every single one of us has a certain amount of power residing in our mouth and in our tongues with the words that we can release to other people.
And with this kind of power residing in our ability to release spoken words to other people - God then tells us what can happen with this kind of power. This power can either be used to bring life or death to the person that we are speaking to. Think of the responsibility and ramifications of this revelation - that our spoken words to other people can either bring them life or bring them death!
You can either choose to learn how to speak and release positive words of love, encouragement and edification to other people in your own personal dealings with them, or you can choose to release negative words of condemnation, criticism, coldness and harshness. The choice is yours!

I remember in 2001 in Church when a trouble steered up within the teenagers, a very Good Friend of mine :TK Bling" came up to the pulpit because he was to give the sermon that day- I remember his WORDS- BRIDLE YOUR TONGUE.
The words that you use and the conversations you have with yourself create things in you. They can create positive things or negative things. It is our choice. The tongue has the power of life and death. This is why it is so important to be diligent in using the power of the tongue to create a positive force in our lives. (Chris Widener).

mouth and tongue not just to speak,but it reflects the heart and our personality.hence,better just keep quiet if nothing for you to say and if you need to talk then just talk about the things that lead to good.instead of talking about evil,gossip,slander and insult others.
mouth and the tongue is a sharp weapon, then make it as a weapon that makes you be respected,be loved and be proud,instead of a sharp weapon to make you to be a murderer, be hated and be sorted.
